0ca29fac9a Move install script error handling to a common function 
All of our install/admin scripts had a try/except block calling the
main function and handling common exceptions. These were copy-pasted
from each other and modified to various levels of sophistication.
This refactors them out of installers to a single function, which
includes a final pass/fail message for all of the scripts.

Non-install scripts that set up the same log handler levels for
stderr and log file are not changed, as it's not possible to log
to only the logfile without changing the logger configuration.

56401c1abe ticket 2022 - modify codebase to utilize IPALogManager, obsoletes logging 
change default_logger_level to debug in configure_standard_logging

add new ipa_log_manager module, move log_mgr there, also export
root_logger from log_mgr.

change all log_manager imports to ipa_log_manager and change
log_manager.root_logger to root_logger.

add missing import for parse_log_level()

709e3ddc5c dirsrv is not stopped correctly in the fallback 
The previous patch fixed ipactl stop command. However, the dirsrv
stop in the ipactl start command fallback was not right either.

d7618acb73 Add common is_installed() fn, better uninstall logging, check for errors. 
The installer and ipactl used two different methods to determine
whether IPA was configured, unify them.

When uninstalling report any thing that looks suspicious and warn
that a re-install may fail. This includes any remaining 389-ds instances
and any state or files that remains after all the module uninstallers
are complete.

Add wrappers for removing files and directories to log failures.

eb0454d45c Improve error message in ipactl 
If a hostname configured in /etc/ipa/default.conf is changed and
is different from the one stored in LDAP in cn=ipa,cn=etc,$SUFFIX
ipactl gives an unintelligible error.

This patch improves the error message and also offers a list of
configured master so that the hostname setting in IPA configuration
can be easily fixed.

3656d9be3c Verify that the hostname is fully-qualified before accessing the service information in ipactl. 
Fail gracefully if the supplied hostname isn't fully-qualified in
ipa-server-install.

8810758c11 Let the framework be able to override the hostname. 
The hostname is passed in during the server installation. We should use
this hostname for the resulting server as well. It was being discarded
and we always used the system hostname value.

Important changes:
- configure ipa_hostname in sssd on masters
- set PKI_HOSTNAME so the hostname is passed to dogtag installer
- set the hostname when doing ldapi binds

This also reorders some things in the dogtag installer to eliminate an
unnecessary restart. We were restarting the service twice in a row with
very little time in between and this could result in a slew of reported
errors, though the server installed ok.

46221e57bf Improve error handling and return status codes in ipactl 
There are cases when ipactl returns success even when it fails. Plus,
when the error really is detected the status codes are not LSB
compliant. This may result in consequent issues.

This patch improves error handling in ipactl and adds LSB compliant
status codes. Namely:

0   program is running or service is OK
3   program is not running
4   program or service status is unknown

for "status" action. Status code 4 is issued when IPA is not
configured to distinguish this state from not running IPA.

For other actions, the following non-zero status codes are
implemented:

1   generic or unspecified error
2   invalid or excess argument(s)
4   user had insufficient privilege
6   program is not configured

aab27a76e2 Require ipactl be run as root to avoid a lot of misleading error msgs. 
Trying to run ipactl as non-root results in a slew of bogus
error messages, some of which come because dirsrv can't read certain
files as the wrong user, some based on our handling of that fact.

861aa9c1b8 Allow SASL/EXTERNAL authentication for the root user 
This gives the root user low privileges so that when anonymous searches are
denied the init scripts can still search the directory via ldapi to get the
list of serevices to start.

373455026e Add a way to print output from commands 
Instead pof always capturing the output, make it possible to let
it go to the standard output pipes.
Use this in ipactl to let init scripts show their output.

7493d781df Change FreeIPA license to GPLv3+ 
The changes include:
 * Change license blobs in source files to mention GPLv3+ not GPLv2 only
 * Add GPLv3+ license text
 * Package COPYING not LICENSE as the license blobs (even the old ones)
   mention COPYING specifically, it is also more common, I think

2efc08a6fc Introduce ipa control script that reads configuration off ldap 
This replace the former ipactl script, as well as replace the current way ipa
components are started.

Instead of enabling each service in the system init scripts, enable only the
ipa script, and then let it start all components based on the configuration
read from the LDAP tree.
