This had been hardcoded to debug=True but it spams the logs with a lot of unnecessary information. Allow it to be enabled for troubleshooting purposes but keep it disabled by default. Enabling debug would involve created /etc/ipa/dns.conf: [global] debug = True I didn't add a more generic mechanism because for now we only need the value of debug and it introduces a lot of type conversion headaches. ipalib handles this automatically but to duplicate this would be corner-case city. This is a set of libraries common to IPA clients and servers though mostly
geared currently towards command-line tools.
A brief overview:
config.py - identify the IPA server domain and realm. It uses python-dns to
try to detect this information first and will fall back to
/etc/ipa/default.conf if that fails.
ipautil.py - helper functions
entity.py - entity is the main data type. User and Group extend this class
(but don't add anything currently).
ipavalidate.py - basic data validation routines
