# Mattermost

Mattermost is an open source, self-hosted Slack-alternative. 

We offer workplace messaging from behind your firewall. Your users can securely share messages and files across PCs and phones with continuous archiving and instant search while integrating with dozens of popular and custom tools.

Mattermost installs as a single Linux binary under an MIT license. It's written in Go and React.
