* Updating the docs to clarify that updates strip caller-supplied identity props but preserve existing ones.

* remove dead function

* update docs and unit test

* fix unit test

* revert doc change, update for failed test

* add back StripActionIntegrations to missing places, add tests for all uses.

* linter fix
