+Hey folks, the last week we've been impacted by several sicknesses and out of office colleagues. Nevertheless, we have made progress with several issues related to static evaluation. Specifically:

+- We have released [OpenTofu 1.8.3](https://github.com/opentofu/opentofu/releases/tag/v1.8.3), a security update related to early static evaluation. We highly recommend setting the `TOFU_ENABLE_STATIC_SENSITIVE=1` environment variable to enable the secure behavior.
+- We have expended significant effort on Dynamic Provider Configuration Assignment ([#300](https://github.com/opentofu/opentofu/issues/300)).
+- We started the full indexing of the [OpenTofu Registry Search](https://search.opentofu.org), which means that all providers and modules should be available within the next week. We have also published the [full documentation for the registry](https://search.opentofu.org/docs), including a guide for writing providers and modules.
