tests: redo test argv file line wrapping Back in commit bd6c46fa0cfe275c24debc1152cfc5206c04b59b Author: Juerg Haefliger <juerg.haefliger@hp.com> Date: Mon Jan 31 06:42:57 2011 -0500 tests: handle backspace-newline pairs in test input files all the test argv files were line wrapped so that the args were less than 80 characters. The way the line wrapping was done turns out to be quite undesirable, because it often leaves multiple parameters on the same line. If we later need to add or remove individual parameters, then it leaves us having to redo line wrapping. This commit changes the line wrapping so that every single "-param value" is one its own new line. If the "value" is still too long, then we break on ',' or ':' or ' ' as needed. This means that when we come to add / remove parameters from the test files line, the patch diffs will only ever show a single line added/removed which will greatly simplify review work. tests: Drop more QEMU driver config overrides These are allegedly necessary to keep the output consistent, but now that we're using a privileged config for the driver we get the desired behavior out of the box, and as a bonus the paths match what you would actually see on a regular host. qemuxml2argvtest: Enable JSON syntax for -device, -object, and -netdev for all fake-caps tests To minimize upcoming churn in test data when they will be converted to latest capabilities enable JSON syntax for -device, -object, and -netdev for all fake caps test files. Doing this should also help git track renames of the files better as there will be more of consistent context present. We can do this safely as internally we generate JSON first and then back-convert it into the old-style commandline if given qemu doesn't support it. qemu: Switch to -accel We currently use -machine accel=XXX which is just a syntax sugar for -accel XXX. The former doesn't allow specifying arguments for accelerator, because all arguments passed to -machine are treated as arguments of machine itself. The -accel argument was introduced in QEMU commit v2.9.0-rc0~70^2~19 and since our minimum required version is newer (2.11.0) we can safely assume its existence and use it without any capability. qemu: command: Fix building of the SDL display command line QEMU uses a shorthand '-sdl' which maps to '-display sdl'. However, if there are any options to be passed to SDL, the full command version must be used. Everything seemingly worked for us until commit 5038b300437 introduced OpenGL support for SDL and added ',gl=on/off' option which as mentioned above could have never worked with the shorthand version of the command. Indeed starting a domain with an SDL display and OpenGL enabled, QEMU produces a rather cryptic error: -sdl: Could not open 'gl=on': No such file or directory This patch provides fixes to both the SDL cmdline generation and the test suite.
