Rim2dIntersectionViewCollection::syncFromExistingIntersections() found the
intersections by walking the PDM child tree of the case. Views located in a
grid ensemble view collection or in the project level view collection are not
children of the case, so no 2D intersection view was created for their
intersections and "Show 2D Intersection View" did nothing.
Collect the intersections from the grid views displaying the case instead.
Display the 2D intersection views as a child of RimReservoirGridEnsemble, next
to the 3D views they are created from, and skip the node on the case to avoid
showing the same object twice in the project tree.
* Add RivSurfaceIntersectionCurveTools for shared surface intersection curve geometry
* Move the surface intersection collection to RimIntersection
* Add surface curtain footprints for the box and i/j/k intersections
* Build surface intersection curves for the box and i/j/k intersections
* Follow the pillar tilt when projecting a surface onto an intersection
* Estimate the surface intersection by continuing the pillar past the curtain
Replace the QString* errorMessage out-parameter with std::expected<RigFormationNames, QString> in RifFormationNamesReader, and propagate the pattern to RimFormationNames::readFormationNamesFile() which now returns std::expected<void, QString>.
Fatal errors (file cannot be opened, FMU line-parse failure) return std::unexpected. Malformed .lyr lines are still skipped so the rest of the file loads, with warnings logged via RiaLogging instead of collected in the out-parameter. RimFormationNamesCollection::readAllFormationNames() now logs errors it previously discarded.
* #14319 Compute all pending ensemble contour maps in one sweep over realizations
* #14319 Initialize result definition and open primary case before building contour map grid
* Contour Map: Compute histogram from map projection values to show correct sample count in overlay info
* #14319 Add comments describing the realization sweep and grid caching
Document why the realization loop is the outer loop, when a realization case is
closed again after processing, and that the contour map grid doubles as the
"statistics computed" flag in ensureResultsComputed().
RigWellPath::interpolatedVectorValuesAlongWellPath indexed vectorValuesAlongWellPath.at( vxIdx - 1 ) when no measured depths were present, causing an out of range exception and terminate. Return cvf::Vec3d::UNDEFINED for empty geometry, matching tangentAlongWellPath. RimWellPathFracture keeps the zero anchor position when the point is undefined.
RimFracture::startMD() and endMD() dereferenced the fracture template without checking for null. A fracture with no template assigned crashed MSW completion export, which calls startMD() for all completions on a well path.
RimWellRftPlot::dataSource() returned a default constructed variant when no source was selected. The variant then held a null RimSummaryCase pointer, and RicCreateRftPlotsFeature dereferenced it. Add std::monostate as first alternative to represent no data source.
Make the Z-scale combo boxes in the toolbar and property editor editable, so any positive scale value can be entered as text. Invalid input is rejected and the previous value is restored.
Add keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+Up and Ctrl+Shift+Down to step the Z-scale of the active view through the predefined scale values.
A regular surface created from Python is added to the views before any property is set, so the surface in view never assigned a default property. Assign the first available property in loadDataAndUpdate() when no property is selected yet.
The P10/P90/Mean annotations were tied to the visibility of the histogram curve, making it impossible to show only the cumulative curve together with the statistics lines. The annotations are now drawn by the non-cumulative curve as long as either it or its cumulative counterpart curve is visible, and the statistics settings are presented only by the non-cumulative curve.
Include reservoir grid ensemble views in RimProject::allViews() so that
polygon and surface imports update the view tree items and schedule a
redraw for these views.
Make RimReservoirGridEnsemble::allViews() robust against re-entrant
calls during project close by iterating child array fields with
childrenByType(), which skips entries nulled during deleteChildren().
A new "Show Cumulative Curve" checkbox on the grid statistics data source adds a cumulative curve on the right axis, in addition to the regular histogram curve. The cumulative curve shares the data source of its non-cumulative counterpart and follows all changes to it. The cumulative sum works with all frequency types and both graph types.
Remove the legacy Grid Statistics dialog (RicGridStatisticsDialog) and its context menu command, which provided the previous cumulative display.
* #14226 Add intersection along i/j/k axis
Add a new persistent intersection type that follows the grid pillars at a
fixed i, j or k index. Unlike the axis-aligned intersection box, the surface
is built from the grid cell faces and therefore steps along faults and curved
pillars, which is useful for structural restoration analysis.
The user selects the axis, the fixed index, the two perpendicular index
ranges and which cell face (front/back pillar) to use. The geometry generator
emits the chosen cell face of every cell in the index plane directly from the
native pillar corners, so cell result colors map exactly.
The feature is available from the Intersections context menu for Eclipse
views and supports 3D-view picking and cell result readout.
The sign of the projected formation direction vector flips with the fracture
direction normal, which follows the well drilling direction, while the fracture
azimuth defining the dip rotation in RimFracture::transformMatrix() is only
defined mod 180 degrees. Canonicalize the formation direction against the
fracture azimuth direction before computing the dip, so a positive dip means
the formation descends toward the azimuth direction.
Restore std::abs() in calculateFormationDipFromHorizontal() so the StimPlan
model formation dip (BedDipDeg in the Asymmetric FRK export) keeps the
non-negative convention from #8877.
Selecting a summary vector in a correlation report now propagates to the contained tornado, cross and summary plots by selecting the first matrix cell, which sends the existing selection signal handled by the report. A virtual onDataSourceChanged() hook on the abstract correlation plot is called after the summary vector selection dialog, and the matrix and tornado plots override it to re-select their first item so dependent plots update.
When a plot is used as a sub-plot of a correlation report, the data source and correlation settings are controlled from the report, so its property editor exposes only the plot settings. Used individually the plots show the complete set of options. Whether a plot is a report sub-plot is tracked with a flag set by the owning report on construction and after read.
Use updateAllRequiredEditors() for sub-plot interactions and for time step changes driven from the summary plot, so the project tree text and property panel reflect the updated auto-generated titles. Re-apply the configured dock title bar visibility after toggling a sub-plot dock, so the title bar stays hidden when a hidden sub-plot is shown again.
Driving caf::ProgressInfo from worker threads inside the OpenMP loop in
loadFileSummaryCaseData() marshaled setProgress() to the GUI thread via a
queued connection. These updates could be delivered after the ProgressInfo
scope had ended and the progress stacks were popped, accessing an empty stack
and resurrecting the just-closed dialog stuck at 0% with no way to close it.
Only update the progress dialog from the master thread, using an atomic
counter for a monotonic progress value, and guard the ProgressInfo mutators
against stale updates delivered after the stacks are empty.
* Make sure we don't trigger another select when a view in the project tree is selected.
* Fix for #14255 and related issues
* Make sure we can close and open a main window, keeping the layout when reopened.
The polygon field was added to the UI ordering by value rather than by
address, so an empty (null) polygon reference resolved to the
PdmObjectHandle overload of PdmUiOrdering::add and aborted on the null
assertion while building the property panel. Pass the field by address so
the field-handle overload is used, matching the other add calls.
Fixes#14311
Take the view's dock widget as a parameter instead of discovering it by walking the widget parent chain, so the caller supplies it directly. Also forward declare QImage in RimViewWindow.h instead of including it, and drop now unused includes in RimViewWindow.cpp.
RimProject::current() can return null while the project is being torn down. Guard the project access in the view-window lookups and valid-comparison-views query with an if-init statement so they return empty instead of dereferencing null.
The depth-related geometry results (DEPTH/DX/DY/DZ/TOPS/BOTTOM) are derived
purely from the shared grid geometry and were computed independently for the
matrix and fracture porosity models. For dual-porosity cases this recomputed the
identical per-cell geometry twice.
Replace the per-model computeDepthRelatedResults() with a single static routine
that traverses the shared main grid once, computing each cell's geometry a single
time and writing it to every porosity model in which the cell is active. The
per-property already-computed guards and the temporary-grid recompute path are
preserved, so the stored values are unchanged. All six matrix+fracture call sites
now go through a thin RigEclipseCaseData::computeDepthRelatedResults() wrapper.
The GUI thread deadlocked on a non-recursive QMutex during OSDU well
import. The download-completion slots and DataLoadController::onTaskFinished
held a mutex while triggering progress updates, which call
QApplication::processEvents(). That re-enters the event loop and dispatches
another queued parquet-download-complete event for a different well, whose
handler then blocks trying to lock the same mutex.
Release the mutex before emitting taskDone in the OSDU well path and well
log data loaders, and before calling incrementProgress() in onTaskFinished.
The map access that the mutex protects stays inside the locked scope; the
captured ProgressInfo outlives the call (kept alive by blockUntilDone) and
incrementProgress() is thread-safe via self-marshaling to the GUI thread.
