Add batch job monitor
Support launcher specific user settings
Use internal timer, not global view timer
Add some more options to batch monitor
Improve naming
Add tests for job lists
Remove the legacy tree-based MSW extraction path now that the geometry-based path is the only supported implementation. This deletes extractSingleWellMsw_Legacy and all unused tree-building helpers in RicWellPathExportMswTableData, trims RicMswTableDataTools to the shared helpers used by the geometry path, and removes the RicMswItem class family (RicMswBranch, RicMswSegment, RicMswCompletions, RicMswExportInfo, RicMswSegmentCellIntersection, RicMswValveAccumulators).
Also remove the useImprovedMswDataStructures preference and its keyword, and delete the obsolete legacy-vs-geometry comparison unit test.
Promote the experimental feature checkboxes out of the development-only System tab into a dedicated, always-visible Experimental tab so end users can opt into experimental features without enabling development features.
The m_enabledFeatures field stays owned by RiaPreferencesSystem, so its keyword, value options and legacy-keyword migration are unchanged.
Remove lastUsedProjectFileName from RiaPreferences and store it via the
existing recentFileList QSettings key. loadProject and saveProjectAs now
call addToRecentFiles instead of writing to preferences. A new static
method lastUsedProjectFileName() on RiuRecentFileActionProvider returns
the most recent .rsp entry from the list.
Removes conditional compilation for OpenTelemetry, ensuring it is always included.
Reinitializes OpenTelemetry based on user preferences, ensuring that changes to telemetry settings are applied immediately.
Configures cloud services, including OpenTelemetry, after the logger is initialized, ensuring that telemetry data is properly captured and transmitted.
Retrieves system username for telemetry tracking.
Adds support for OpenTelemetry to enable telemetry and crash reporting.
This change introduces:
- New RiaPreferencesOpenTelemetry class for managing OpenTelemetry configuration.
- RiaOpenTelemetryManager class for handling the OpenTelemetry lifecycle,
event processing, and error handling.
- Configuration options in preferences to enable, disable, and configure
OpenTelemetry.
- Asynchronous event reporting.
- Crash reporting capabilities.
- Health monitoring features.
* Add job settings, with default settings in preferences.
* Move opm flow settings to separate preferences tab
* Add warning/error detection add display count next to progress
* Adjust size of preference window
- Always log to file using default values. Log to home_folder/.resinsight/logs. Files are rotated, 5MB per file and maximum of 3 files.
- Add checkbox to system preferences to control file logging
Avoid pixel size for easier config across multiple environments
Set default font size for plots to 10 points
Use Small instead of XSmall for default font in plot
Remove pt postfix to indicate point size
Never write to preferences if running in console mode
Delete stale settings lock files
On Linux, application settings are stored in a text file in the users home folder. On Windows, these settings are stored in Registry. Users have reported stale lock files the configuration directory. In some cases, these lock files can prevent the application from starting. It appears that the application start, but no GUI is displayed.
* Qt6: Avoid insertWidget, use addWidget
In Qt6, the insertWidget function checks if the index parameter is valid based on current widgets present in the layout. This is error prone, and use addWidget to avoid manual counting of index.
* Disable use of Qt keyword foreach
* Replace use of QRegExp with QRegularExpression
Replace use of QRegExp with QRegularExpression
Remove dependency on qt5compat module
Simplify an expression based on review
* Remove Qt5 ifdefs
* Guard access out of bounds seen in debug build
* Avoid reuse of string variable
* Disconnect all signals from the QOpenGLContext
The call stack when this assert happens indicates that there are more signals to be disconnected from the object. Crash is fixed by disconnecting all signals.
Assert seen in debug build:
ASSERT failure in caf::Viewer: "Called object is not of the correct type (class destructor may have already run)", file C:\Qt\6.6.3\msvc2019_64\include\QtCore/qobjectdefs_impl.h, line 130
* Fix issue related to delete of a linked view
Guard null pointer use in view linker. Remove complicated cleanup in destructor in Rim3dVew.
Check multiple locations for configuration files. The first valid configuration file is used. Currently, using Qt5 the ResInsight binary file is stored at the root of the installation folder. When moving to Qt6, we will probably use sub folders /bin /lib and others. Support both one and two search levels to support Qt6.
* Make it possible to use designated initializer list
- remove default constructor
- move static member to outer scope
* Add helper function to add field on same row
* Make sure clang-tidy action use .clang-tidy config file
Use add-paths to instruct create-pull-request to a sub folder to avoid diff from Qt and vcpkg
* Use empty() in macro to avoid clang-tidy warning
* Add NOLINT to CAF_ASSERT
* Add NOLINT to cvfAssert
Add support for import of geometry and results for main grid. Currently no support for LGR.
Add selection in Preferences to either use libecl or opm-common for grid import.
If RESINSIGHT_DEVEL flag is set, display reader in an Eclipse case to make it possible to compare Eclipse and opm-common in same project.
Add more includes to custom-opm-common to be able to support this functionality. opm-common is unchanged.
* Add shortcut for Plot Editor, and modify how command features are triggered
Use Ctrl-E to launch the Plot Editor.
* Add optional use of NOECHO and ECHO keywords in GRDECL files
* Add ECHO keywords to sector model export
* Add Help button to Preferences
* Ensemble plot templates now have .erpt extension and new icon
* Default plot templates are given a checkmark overlay on the icon
* Context menu has been cleaned up a bit
* Old default template is really just the last used template. Rename it.
* Add max. recursive depth setting in preferences for plot template searches
* Only create plots based on correct template type when importing ensembles or single cases
* Support creating new plot from template explorer
* Update last used template when creating a new plot from a template
* Add summary default plot type selection in preferences
* Create plots as set in preferences when loading summary cases. Allow selecting default plot templates from templates explorer tree
* Do not create plot if data vector setting is empty
