String, number, bool, date, file and directory ports show a Codicons
icon (CC BY 4.0, with licence and source in Resources/codicons). Icons
are drawn at the shown resolution so they stay sharp when zoomed, and
config box values are elided before the type so they do not overlap it.
Collect: list and dict inputs accept several connections of their item
type. Members are labelled with their position or key, and can be
reordered or renamed from the connection context menu.
Map: Map Over / Edit Map / Remove Map on tasks. A mapped task is drawn
as a stack with a "map over" subtitle, its items are edited in the
property view (JSON, or selected cases, well paths or views), and
per-item progress is shown during a run.
Workflows using map or collect are no longer read-only. The run status
no longer shows "Completed" after a successful run.
Ports holding a ResInsight object (instance, case, view, well path, surface)
show the project tree icon of that object in front of the type. The rips class
is taken from the schema's Python bases, directly or via ObjectModel[Class].
Describe only sees literal input values, so object references such as cases
were always reported as missing, and the warning did not update when a value
was edited. Compute these warnings from the job's bindings and refresh them
when a binding changes.
Each input and output port shows its type below the name, for editable and
read-only workflows. The graph JSON carries input_types/output_types per
task, built from the task schemas.
Undo, Redo, Save, Save As, Duplicate as Editable and Fit are now in the
graph background context menu; keyboard shortcuts are unchanged. The task
palette is placed to the right of the graph.
Build, copy and edit taskmaestro workflows in ResInsight and save them as
standard workflow.yaml + input.yaml.
- Python helper: catalog, load, save and export-registered subcommands,
and run --registered for installed workflows
- C++ definition model with pure edit operations, port type checks,
config field derivation, static validation and undo/redo
- Installed folder listing registered workflows (read-only, runnable,
can be duplicated)
- Graph editor dock with task palette, drag-to-connect, context menus,
automatic layout and debounced live validation
- New/Duplicate/Save/Save As/Rescan commands; unsaved edits run from a
temporary folder and prompt before being discarded
- Update the design document and the user README
Import zone colors from an FMU stratigraphy.json file located next to the
formation files, and import formation zones from a yaml file.
- Add RifFormationNamesFileParser and move the layer zone table, yaml and
stratigraphy.json parsers there from RifFormationNamesReader.
- Return std::expected from convertStringToColor.
- Prefer zonation_ecl_map yaml when several yaml files are present, and ignore
other yaml files.
- Document the FMU location of the formation files.
- Add unit tests and test data for fmu, malformed and missing-color inputs.
Issues: #13889, #13888
Completions could interleave mainbore and lateral connections, since the
final sort ordered by well name, completion type and measured depth, and
each lateral has its own independent MD scale. Connections for a well's
mainbore should all come before connections for its side steps.
Added RicScheduleDataGenerator::sortCompletionsMainBoreFirst(), which
groups completions by owning well path (via
RigCompletionData::sourcePdmObject()) and emits them in the traversal
order of RimWellPath::allWellPathLaterals(), mainbore first. Sibling
laterals are ordered by tie-in measured depth, as allWellPathLaterals()
itself is not deterministic. The sort is applied in
completionDataForWellPaths() so schedule export, COMPDAT/COMPLUMP export
and the gRPC/Python query all get the same ordering.
Segment interval edits, creation and deletion did not trigger the automatic MSW segment update, so the segment visualization along the well path was stale.
Zoom All could pass a zero view direction (eye equal to view reference
point). The up vector then also became zero, giving a plane with a zero
normal and an assert in Plane::distanceToOrigin. Fall back to the Y axis
when the direction is zero or undefined. Follow-up to the parallel
dir/up fix in #14849.

Conductivity and width grids were built as separate lists; a missing width
grid shortened one list and widthGrids[i] went out of range. Build the grids
per definition so they stay paired.

Read the summary unit system from SMSPEC INTEHEAD, and fall back to vector
units for ESMRY files without SMSPEC. The unit system is read on first
request to keep summary import fast. Ensembles use the same realization as
for addresses. New RFT plots get the depth unit from their data sources.
RiaGuiApplication::notify queried RiaOpenTelemetryManager::instance() for every event. Make the crash flag a static atomic so the check never constructs the manager or takes part in its initialization.
Add event date and well queries with date, owner and event type/keyword
filters to SimulatorEventsDocument and WellEventTimeline, including
latest_event_date() and wells_with_msw_events() for building the
export_msw_for_wells list.
Grid-dependent keywords (WELSPECS, COMPORD, COMPDAT, COMPLUMP, WELSEGS, COMPSEGS, WSEGVALV, WSEGAICD) are skipped and reported as WARNING comments in the schedule header, so production-data-only setups can still generate DATES and well control keywords.
Repainting while the crash handler pumps the event loop can crash again,
replacing the original report with one blaming the crash handler.

When a SEGMENT event is applied (SIMEVENTS mapping or timeline
set_timestamp), set the segment collection Reference MD Type to User
Defined and the reference MD to the start MD of the first segment
interval, so WELSEGS TOP_LENGTH matches the first segment.
Add FIXED_SEGMENT_LENGTH, MIN_SEGMENT_LENGTH and MAX_SEGMENT_LENGTH to
SIMEVENTS SEGMENT events. The lengths are stored on RimWellEventSegment
(new AddSegmentEvent arguments, 0 = not set) and applied to the segment
interval when the timeline is applied. Invalid combinations (fixed with
min/max, min > max, non-positive values) are reported as parse errors.
Move Pressure Drop and Length and Depth from the segment collection to
the well path completion settings. PRESSURE_COMPONENTS is now a dated
WELSPECS attribute used for the WELSEGS header at export, and is
rejected on SEGMENT events.
Rename RimWellEventTubing to RimWellEventSegment (keyword WellEventSegment),
EventType::TUBING to SEGMENT, and the scripting method AddTubingEvent to
AddSegmentEvent (Python: add_segment_event). Update the project tree label,
schedule comments, Python helpers, examples, tests and docs.
loadCase only went through the grid case import, so .odb, .inp and .pvd
files could not be opened from Python or other gRPC clients. Open them
the way the GUI does and return the GeoMechCase.
The GUI import also imports "<CASE>*.pvd" surfaces next to the grid
file (e.g. fractures written by the simulator); loadCase now does the
same, so a scripted load gives the same project as the GUI.
