Before this fix we could only list messages of a thread if it was part of a `threading_enabled` channel or if the thread was set to `force`.
Due to our design of also using a thread id when this is just a chain of replies so we can switch from threading enabled to disabled at any time, we will allow `Chat:: ListChannelThreadMessages` to list the messages of any thread, the only important requirements are:
- having a thread id
- being able to access this thread
To allow this, this commit simply removes the check on `threading_enabled` or `force`.
This adds a small indicator of the Ctrl+/ shortcut that
exists for the admin sidebar filter, since it's not very
obvious that you can do that. This should help people
who are struggling with the long list of links -- it's
much faster to use the keyboard and search for what
you are looking for.

The admin sidebar was also disappearing on another
child admin route (in this case the docker_manager
plugin update page). Instead of relying on the route
name which is flaky, we can set a boolean when the
sidebar is forced in the root admin route, then
turn it off when leaving admin.
The UsersController#modify_user_params method is deprecated and replaced with a plugin modifier (users_controller_update_user_params). It is marked for removal in 3.2. This PR removes it.
This commit introduces the following changes which allows a site
administrator to mark `Upload` records with the `s3_file_missing`
verification status which will result in the `Upload` record being ignored when
`Discourse.store.list_missing_uploads` is ran on a site where S3 uploads
are enabled and `SiteSetting.enable_s3_inventory` is set to `true`.
1. Introduce `s3_file_missing` to `Upload.verification_statuses`
2. Introduce `Upload.mark_invalid_s3_uploads_as_missing` which updates
`Upload#verification_status` of all `Upload` records from `invalid_etag` to `s3_file_missing`.
3. Introduce `rake uploads:mark_invalid_s3_uploads_as_missing` Rake task
which allows a site administrator to change `Upload` records with
`invalid_etag` verification status to the `s3_file_missing`
verificaton_status.
4. Update `S3Inventory` to ignore `Upload` records with the
`s3_file_missing` verification status.
Under some circumstances, the TextField component could trigger a `Assertion Failed: You attempted to update attrs on ..., but it had already been used previously in the same computation...` error, causing the Ember app to crash.
Adds the “s3_uploads” option (default: false) to the discourse backup script, which temporarily forces the inclusion of S3 uploads in the backup.
Also removed all unnecessary “require” statements as loading Rails is sufficient.
The rest of the changes were made by the linter.
A few follup changes after changing to the chat footer split for drawer:
* Fixing a bug that stretched the unread indicator on mobile
* Minor style changes in hover/focus behaviour for chat drawer
* Repositioning of unread indicator so it has more space at the top of the footer
* Using the `c-unread-indicator` mixin
When uploading a video, the composer will now show a thumbnail image in
the composer preview instead of just the video placeholder image.
If `enable_diffhtml_preview` is enabled the video will be rendered in
the composer preview and is playable.
Followup 94fe31e5b3,
change the color of the "Known Crawler" bar on the
new "Consolidated Pageviews with Browser Detection (Experimental)"
report to be purple, like it was on the original
"Consolidated Pageviews" report to allow for easier
visual comparison.
Also removes the report colors to named keys in a hash
for easier reference than having to look up the
index of the array all the time.
This commit updates all Sidekiq signal handling event logs to go through
Unicorn's logger instead of logging to STDOUT. Going through a proper logger
means the log messages are logged in the format which the logger has configured.
This means we get proper timestamp for the log messages.
Delay rendering sidebar sections after sidebar is shown
Showing the popup takes about 100ms, then rendering each section
could take up to and additional 200ms, which leaves the total just
outside of 300ms. If we cheat by rendering the popup first then
the sections in the next frame, it improves our paint time
Introduce DeferredRender to encapsulate 'paint later'
This uses a new nav style with the heirarchy:
```
Breadcrumbs
|- Title
|- Description
|- Third-Level Navigation
```
The navigation bar uses the transparent red-underlined
buttons similar to the user activity page.
Over time all admin pages will use this, but this starts
with the new plugin show page.

This commit updates various spots in `config/unicorn.conf.rb` which were
doing `STDERR.puts` to either use `server.logger` which is unicorn's
logger or `Rails.logger` which is Rails' logger. The reason we want to
do so is because `STDERR.puts` doesn't format the logs properly and is a
problem especially when custom loggers with structured formatting is
enabled.
Was "removing" (rather not re-applying) the `[spoiler]` BBCode because we were testing the **whole** class of the `span`/`div` was `spoiled` but we added another class and thus broke this functionnality.
In order to fix this issue, the test to determine whether a `span`/`div` is a spoiler, now uses a regular expression to check whether the `class` **contains** the word `spoiled`.

We need to register a waiter so that `settled()` will wait for `runAfterFramePaint()` callbacks to be run before proceeding.
Re-lands 63b7b598cb, but wrapped with `isTesting()` to avoid production errors.
