Rob Crittenden 3940a574f9 Re-order NULL check in ipa_lockout.
There is no risk of crash here as slapi_valueset_first_value() can handle
the case where the valueset is NULL, but there is no point in calling that
if we know there are no values.

The DIR ccache format is now the default in krb5-server 1.11.2-4
but /run/user/<uid> isn't created for Apache by anything so it
has no ccache (and it doesn't have SELinux permissions to write here

Rob Crittenden 6e2c3a45a1 Handle a 501 in cert-find from dogtag as a "not supported"
Upgrading from d9 -> d10 does not set up the RESTful interface

things they have decided to not support upgrades.

We need to catch this and report a more reasonable error. They are
returning a 501 (HTTP method unimplemented) in this case.

Rob Crittenden 8377f4e92f Apply LDAP update files in blocks of 10, as originally designed.
In order to have control over the order that updates are applied
a numbering system was created for the update files. These values
were not actually used.

The updates were sorted by DN length and in most cases this was
adequate for proper function. The exception was with roles where
in some cases a role was added as a member of a permission before
the role itself was added so the memberOf value was never created.

Now updates are computed and applied in blocks of 10.

Rob Crittenden 797baef1a4 Fix lockout of LDAP bind.
There were several problems:

- A cut-n-paste error where the wrong value was being considered when
  an account was administratively unlocked.
- An off-by-one error where LDAP got one extra bind attempt.
- krbPwdPolicyReference wasn't being retrieved as a virtual attribute so
  only the global_policy was used.
- The lockout duration wasn't examined in the context of too many failed
logins so wasn't being applied properly.
- Lockout duration wasn't used properly so a user was effectively unlocked
  when the failure interval expired.
- krbLastFailedAuth and krbLoginFailedCount are no longer updated past
  max failures.

Rob Crittenden c8846bab25 Improve some error handling in ipa-replica-manage
If you break a replica install after the agreement is created but
before it gets much further you'll be in the situation where an
agreement exists, no cn=masters entry exists, and the RUV may not
be set yet.

This adds some error handling so the broken install can be safely
removed.

Rob Crittenden 9005b9bc8a Extend ipa-replica-manage to be able to manage DNA ranges.
Attempt to automatically save DNA ranges when a master is removed.
This is done by trying to find a master that does not yet define
a DNA on-deck range. If one can be found then the range on the deleted
master is added.

If one cannot be found then it is reported as an error.

Some validation of the ranges are done to ensure that they do overlap
an IPA local range and do not overlap existing DNA ranges configured
on other masters.

Use a new RESTful API provided by dogtag 10+. Construct an XML document
representing the search request. The output is limited to whatever dogtag
sends us, there is no way to request additional attributes other than
to read each certificate individually.

dogtag uses a boolean for each search term to indicate that it is used.
Presense of the search item is not enough, both need to be set.

Rob Crittenden cbb262dc07 Add LDAP server fallback to client installer
Change the discovery code to validate all servers, regardless of where
the originated (either via SRV records or --server). This will prevent
the client installer from failing if one of those records points to a
server that is either not running or is not an IPA server.

servers, simply moved to the end of the list.

If a server is not an IPA server it is removed.

Rob Crittenden 53c94361d6 Improve migration performance
Add new users to the default users group in batches of 100. The
biggest overhead of migration is in calculating the modlist when
managing the default user's group and applying the changes. A
significant amount of time can be saved by not doing this on every
add operation.

Some other minor improvements include:

Add a negative cache for groups not found in the remote LDAP server.
Replace call to user_mod with a direct LDAP update.
Catch some occurances of LimitError and handle more gracefully.

I also added some debug logging to report on migration status and
performance.

Rob Crittenden 045b6e6ed9 Use new certmonger locking to prevent NSS database corruption.
dogtag opens its NSS database in read/write mode so we need to be very
careful during renewal that we don't also open it up read/write. We
basically need to serialize access to the database. certmonger does the
majority of this work via internal locking from the point where it generates
a new key/submits a rewewal through the pre_save and releases the lock after
the post_save command. This lock is held per NSS database so we're save
from certmonger. dogtag needs to be shutdown in the pre_save state so
certmonger can safely add the certificate and we can manipulate trust
in the post_save command.

Fix a number of bugs in renewal. The CA wasn't actually being restarted
at all due to a naming change upstream. In python we need to reference
services using python-ish names but the service is pki-cad. We need a
translation for non-Fedora systems as well.

Update the CA ou=People entry when he CA subsystem certificate is
renewed. This certificate is used as an identity certificate to bind
to the DS instance.

certmonger may provide new CAs, as in the case from upgrading IPA 2.2

The certmonger package does its own condrestart as part of %postun

restart it ourselves before upgrading.

Rob Crittenden 5bf1cee702 Clear kernel keyring in client installer, save dbdir on new connections
This patch addresses two issues:

1. If a client is previously enrolled in an IPA server and the server
gets re-installed then the client machine may still have a keyring
entry for the old server. This can cause a redirect from the
session URI to the negotiate one. As a rule, always clear the keyring
   when enrolling a new client.

2. We save the NSS dbdir in the connection so that when creating a new
session we can determine if we need to re-initialize NSS or not. Most
of the time we do not. The dbdir was not always being preserved between
connections which could cause an NSS_Shutdown() to happen which would
fail because of existing usage. This preserves the dbdir information when
a new connection is created as part of the session mechanism.

Rob Crittenden f695f79748 When deleting a master, try to prevent orphaning other servers.
If you have a replication topology like A <-> B <-> C and you try
to delete server B that will leave A and C orphaned. It may also
prevent re-installation of a new master on B because the cn=masters

Check on each master that it connects to to ensure that it isn't the
last link, and fail if it is. If any of the masters are not up then

Rob Crittenden 03837bfd6d Use certmonger to renew CA subsystem certificates
Certificate renewal can be done only one one CA as the certificates need
to be shared amongst them. certmonger has been trained to communicate
directly with dogtag to perform the renewals. The initial CA installation
is the defacto certificate renewal master.

A copy of the certificate is stored in the IPA LDAP tree in
cn=ca_renewal,cn=ipa,cn=etc,$SUFFIX, the rdn being the nickname of the
certificate, when a certificate is renewed. Only the most current
certificate is stored. It is valid to have no certificates there, it means
that no renewals have taken place.

The clones are configured with a new certmonger CA type that polls this
location in the IPA tree looking for an updated certificate. If one is
not found then certmonger is put into the CA_WORKING state and will poll
every 8 hours until an updated certificate is available.

The RA agent certificate, ipaCert in /etc/httpd/alias, is a special case.
When this certificate is updated we also need to update its entry in
the dogtag tree, adding the updated certificate and telling dogtag which
certificate to use. This is the certificate that lets IPA issue
certificates.

On upgrades we check to see if the certificate tracking is already in
place. If not then we need to determine if this is the master that will
do the renewals or not. This decision is made based on whether it was
the first master installed. It is concievable that this master is no
longer available meaning that none are actually tracking renewal. We
will need to document this.

Rob Crittenden e345ad12eb Fix validator for SELinux user map settings in config plugin.
We need to compare two values and need to be aware of where those
values are coming from. They may come from options, setattr or
existing config. The format of that data is going to be different
depending on its source (always a list internally).

One may also set both at the same time so a standard validator cannot
be used because it lacks the context of the other value being set.

Rob Crittenden 429edcfb72 Support per-principal sessions and handle session update failures
User had a system that refused to store keys into the kernel keyring.
Any operation at all on the keyring would return "Key has been revoked".

Wrap the operations in a try/except so we can ignore keyring failures.

This also adds per-principal sessions. The principal name is stored
in the session key so switching principals in the ccache doesn't
require clearing the keyring.

All service start/restart currently go through ipapython/platform so
move the "wait for service to start" code there as well.

A dictionary of known services and ports to wait on is defined in base.py
This is referenced by the platforms by instance name to determine what
to wait for. For the case of dirsrv if we get that as a plain name
(no specific instance) it is assumed to be the main IPA service.

We don't have a specific requires on the policycoreutils package. It

however we need to set things up properly. This is provided by the

Rob Crittenden 8d00d7c130 Enforce sizelimit in permission-find, post_callback returns truncated
We actually perform two searches in permission-find. The first looks
for matches within the permission object itself. The second looks at
matches in the underlying aci.

We need to break out in two places. The first is if we find enough
matches in the permission itself. The second when we are appending
matches from acis.

The post_callback() definition needed to be modified to return
the truncated value so a plugin author can modify that value.

Rob Crittenden 6bb462e26a Retry retrieving ldap principals when setting up replication.
We've seen on a few occassions where one side or the other is missing
the ldap principal. This causes replication to fail when trying to

and try the retrieval again, up to 10 times.

This should also make the error report clearer if even after the retries
one of the principals doesn't exist.

Rob Crittenden 560f2ce8bd Check for locked-out user before incrementing lastfail.
If a user become locked due to too many failed logins and then were
unlocked by an administrator, the account would not lock again. This
was caused by two things:

 - We were incrementing the fail counter before checking to see if the
   account was already locked out.
 - The current fail count wasn't taken into consideration when
deciding if the account is locked.

The sequence was this:

1. Unlocked account, set failcount to 0
2. Failed login, increment failcount
3. Within lastfailed + lockout_duration, still locked. This skips
   update the last_failed date.

So I reversed 2 and 3 and check to see if the fail count exceeds policy.

Rob Crittenden 95bb8d0f45 Fix overlapping cn param/option issue, pass cn as aciname in find
permission-find --name wasn't working for two reasons. The first
was that the cn to search on in options ended up overlapping the
primary key name causing the request to fail.

The second reason was aci uses aciname, not cn, as its name field.
So searching on --name matched everything because it was as if you
were searching on nothing.
