This introduces new attribute wrpolicy with only supported value as immediate. This will be an optional attribute with no defaults. This helps specify whether to skip the host page cache. When wrpolicy is specified, meaning when wrpolicy=immediate a writeback is explicitly initiated for the dirty pages in the host page cache as part of the guest file write operation. Usage: <filesystem type='mount' accessmode='passthrough'> <driver type='path' wrpolicy='immediate'/> <source dir='/export/to/guest'/> <target dir='mount_tag'/> </filesystem> Currently this only works with type='mount' for the QEMU/KVM driver. LibVirt : simple API for virtualization
Libvirt is a C toolkit to interact with the virtualization capabilities
of recent versions of Linux (and other OSes). It is free software
available under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Virtualization of
the Linux Operating System means the ability to run multiple instances of
Operating Systems concurrently on a single hardware system where the basic
resources are driven by a Linux instance. The library aim at providing
long term stable C API initially for the Xen paravirtualization but
should be able to integrate other virtualization mechanisms if needed.
