Originally disabled in 0c0192e. Upload specs now use separate paths for each spec worker.
Fixes an issue in UploadRecovery#recover_from_local – it didn't take into account the testing infix (e.g. test_0) in the uploads/tombstone paths.
* DEV: Don't lint core files when target == plugins
* Prettier the plugin/*.js files
* Update eslintignore/prettierignore
* Add eslint-plugin-ember and eslint-plugin-node
* Properly lint all js files in all plugins
* LINT: run prettier on test/*.js files
* DEV: Run prettier checks on test/*.js files
* ESLint plugins' assets/javascripts and test/javascripts directories only
Fixes a bug in `controllers/insert-hyperlink` where `addEventListener` was called with different (anonymous) functions than the matching `removeEventListener` calls.
If there's already a `LockOn` instance, clear its lock before creating creating a new one. Fixes a shaky viewport effect after certain transitions.
Includes:
* Slight refactor (elementId wasn't an id, but a selector - it included the "#" prefix)
* Add support for a[name=X] anchors in `jumpToPost`
* Scope down anchors to the #main element (Embeded fontawesome sprites are causing conflicts, e.g. when given `bed` anchor, `<a name="bed">` was at odds with `<symbol id="bed" viewBox="0 0 640 512">(…)</symbol>`)
When visiting a permalink with an anchor (e.g. /important-link#notes) the anchor part was being dropped during redirection.
The change doesn't have a test. Functions like scrollToPost or scrollToElement don't have any effect in the test environment.
Mostly de-jQuery-ification. This refactor tries to closely preserve the original behavior.
Changes:
* Store the interval inside the class (allows using `clearLock()` on `LockOn` objects)
* Extract the interval function to a separate method
* Math.max result is never undefined (per MDN: "[Return value] The largest of the given numbers. If at least one of the arguments cannot be converted to a number, NaN is returned.")
* Replace jQuery's `offset()`
* Private methods be private
* Native `scrollTop` (jQuery's just a wrapper for this)
* `addEventListener`/`removeEventListener`
The poll breakdown modal replaces the grouped pie charts feature.
Includes:
* MODAL: Untangle `onSelectPanel`
Previously modal-tab component would call on click the onSelectPanel callback with itself (modal-tab) as `this` which severely limited its usefulness. Now showModal binds the callback to its controller.
"The PR includes a fix/change to d-modal (b7f6ec6) that hasn't been extracted to a separate PR because it's not currently possible to test a change like this in abstract, i.e. with dynamically created controllers/components in tests. The percentage/count toggle test for the poll breakdown feature is essentially a test for that d-modal modification."
Per the linked site (http://mths.be/details) and https://caniuse.com/#feat=details the <details> element is supported since Chrome 12/Safari 6/Firefox 49/Edge 79. IE 11 doesn't handle them, but we dropped the support for that browser.
This reverts commit 7d289a4f3e.
Now that 36bad0c31f is in and we have video previews on all platforms, the commit that's being reverted is no longer needed. In the worst case scenario, the video description is clipped under the video poster if the video aspect ratio is other than 16:9. This commit removes descriptions and the custom style for the video elements.

* DEV: Remove the margin from widget-dropdown
Generic components should not have a margin. Those should be styled in the place where they are used.
* DEV: Remove margin from the dropdown body
It triggered a warning in popper and was effectively a no-op as popper positions dropdowns on its own using `position: fixed` and `top/right/bottom/left` properties.
Because of how the dropdown was structured, as long it was in the DOM, all clicks outside the widget would rerender it.
This commit introduces `widget-dropdown-body` that handles the `clickOutside` callback and is rendered conditionally, so it won't get called when the dropdown is closed.
* FIX: CookText may be gone before promise resolves
Bug introduced in 293467a37a.
* DEV: Drop the window.requireModule in cook-text
It was introduced in 2017 in 232311aa8c but doesn't seem to be necessary anymore.
`OptimizedImage#filesize` calls `Discourse.store.download` with an OptimizedImage as an argument. It would in turn attempt to call `#original_filename` and `#secure?` on that object. Both would fail as these methods do not exist on OptimizedImage, only on Upload. We didn't know about these issues because:
1. `#calculate_filesize` is not called often, because the filesize is saved on OptimizedImage creation, so it's used mostly for manual filesize recalculation
2. we were using `rescue nil` which swallows all errors
It's a stop gap – ideally we would generate a thumbnail for uploaded videos. For now, a bit of intentionality in the style and a pinch of context should do.
Fixes a bug in search-menu-results (type: "group"), where:
```javascript
const fullName = escapeExpression(group.fullName);
const name = escapeExpression(group.name);
const groupNames = [h("span.name", fullName || name)];
```
`groupNames` could end up having value "undefined" if a group doesn't have a `fullName`.
Fixed bugs, added specs, extracted the upload downsizing code to a class, added support for non-S3 setups, changed it so that images aren't downloaded twice.
This code has been tested on production and successfully resized ~180k uploads.
Includes:
* DEV: Extract upload downsizing logic
* DEV: Add support for non-S3 uploads
* DEV: Process only images uploaded by users
* FIX: Incorrect usage of `count` and `exist?` typo
* DEV: Spec S3 image downsizing
* DEV: Avoid downloading images twice
* DEV: Update filesizes earlier in the process
* DEV: Return false on invalid upload
* FIX: Download images that currently above the limit (If the image size limit is decreased, then there was no way to resize those images that now fall outside the allowed size range)
* Update script/downsize_uploads.rb (Co-authored-by: Régis Hanol <regis@hanol.fr>)
* Fixes position of the top arrow, and border width of both
* Merged top and transform properties
* .5px values are required to make arrow border appear the same with as overall popover border width
I did have a chance to try it out on a Windows machine with a non-high DPI display and there were no issues. And I just re-tested it with Firefox on macOS using the "Open in Low Resolution" option and it looked more or less ok (bearing in mind that it the whole app is then a blurry mess, and that using custom zoom levels causes the arrow to break slightly, but that was also the case on Firefox before this change)
Correctly handles more upload formats in posts, updates post custom fields, fixes more edge cases, adds debugging capabilities. (VERBOSE=1 and INTERACTIVE=1 flags)
Includes these commits and some more:
* DEV: Show the fixed image dimensions
* FIX: Support more upload url formats
* DEV: Remove the old upload after updating posts
* FIX: Use the `process_post_#{id}` mutex
* FIX: Avoid rebaking twice
* DEV: Print out the link to the post
* DEV: Process posts chronologically
* DEV: Do a dry-run before saving, pause on any issue
* FIX: Also process deleted posts
* DEV: Make matchers case-insensitive
* DEV: Pause on "detached" uploads, add more debug info
* DEV: Print out time when finished
* DEV: Add support for WORKER_ID/WORKER_COUNT
* DEV: Fix the onebox in cooked text heuristic
* DEV: Don't report already processed posts
* DEV: Beep when done!
* DEV: Ignore issues with deleted posts
* DEV: Ignore issues with deleted topics
* DEV: Multiline SQL
* DEV: Use the bulk attribute assignment
* DEV: Add ENV["INTERACTIVE"] mode
* DEV: Handle post custom fields
* DEV: Bail on non-S3 sites
* DEV: Allow sizes smaller than 1 mpix
* DEV: Update bundler in GitHub Actions CI
* DEV: Fix bundler deprecation warning
Fixes the following two deprecation warnings:
```
[DEPRECATED] The `--deployment` flag is deprecated because it relies on being remembered across bundler invocations, which bundler will no longer do in future versions. Instead please use `bundle config set deployment 'true'`, and stop using this flag
```
```
[DEPRECATED] The `--without` flag is deprecated because it relies on being remembered across bundler invocations, which bundler will no longer do in future versions. Instead please use `bundle config set without 'development'`, and stop using this flag
```
* DEV: The default `retry` value is already `3`
See https://bundler.io/v2.0/man/bundle-config.1.html:
> retry (BUNDLE_RETRY): The number of times to retry failed network requests. Defaults to 3.
* DEV: `&& \` isn't required in multiline `step.run`
Steps use the fail-fast strategy.
* DEV: Use multiline `step.run` where possible
This reverts commit e23f1a9071.
Reverting as this currently breaks our plugin linting job in GithHub Action and Jenkins. Will re-revert after all the plugins get the latest rubocop config and/or a (potential) rubocop issue is fixed.
* DEV: Use `render_json_error` (Adds specs for Admin::GroupsController)
* DEV: Use a specific error on blank category slug (Fixes a `render_json_error` warning)
* DEV: Use a specific error on reviewable claim conflict (Fixes a `render_json_error` warning)
* DEV: Use specific errors in Admin::UsersController (Fixes `render_json_error` warnings)
* FIX: PublishedPages error responses
* FIX: TopicsController error responses (There was an issue of two separate `Topic` instances for the same record. This makes sure there's only one up-to-date instance.)
* DEV: Update the working tree just once.
`git pull` was effectively doing `git fetch` and `git merge FETCH_HEAD`, and only then we were checking out the desired branch/commit. This change will skip the the merge step.
* DEV: Don't run lefthook in docker_test
It previously failed to match URLs with characters other than `[a-zA-z0-9\.\/:-]`. This meant that `PullHotlinkedImages` would sometimes download an external image and then never use it in any posts.
Fixes to the quote feature. Most important changes listed below:
* FIX: Correctly attribute quotes when using Reply button
* FIX: Correctly attribute quotes when using replyAsNewTopic
* FIX: Allow quoting a quote
* FIX: Correctly mark quotes as "full"
* FIX: Don't try to create a quote if it's empty
* DEV: Remove an obsolete method `loadQuote`
It isn't used in core anymore, the only use in core has been removed over 4 years ago in 3251bcb. It's not used in any plugins in all-the-plugins and all references to it on GitHub are from outdated forks (https://github.com/search?q=%22Post.loadQuote%22&type=Code)
This adds rubocop-rspec, and enables some cops that were either already passing or are passing now, after fixing them in this commit.
Some new cops are disabled for now, with annotation: "TODO" or "To be decided". Those either need to be discussed first, or require manual changes, or the number of found and fixed offenses is too large to bundle them up in a single PR.
Includes:
* DEV: Update rubocop's `TargetRubyVersion` to 2.6
* DEV: Enable RSpec/VoidExpect
* DEV: Enable RSpec/SharedContext
* DEV: Enable RSpec/EmptyExampleGroup (Removed an obsolete empty spec file)
* DEV: Enable RSpec/ItBehavesLike
* DEV: Remove RSpec/ScatteredLet (It's too strict, as it doesn't recognize fab! as a let-like)
* DEV: Remove RSpec/MultipleExpectations
Even though `type` is an alias for `method`, we have custom logic in `/discourse/lib/ajax` that checks only `type`, and ~200 other ajax calls in the codebase already use `type` param.
This set of tests cleared the emoji store *before* each test, while the other set - *after*. So if these were run first, they would break a single test from the other set.
* DEV: Replace User.unstage and User#unstage API with User#unstage!
Quoting @SamSaffron:
> User.unstage mixes concerns of both unstaging users and updating params which is fragile/surprising.
> u.unstage destroys notifications and raises a user_unstaged event prior to the user becoming unstaged and the user object being saved.
User#unstage! no longer updates user attributes and saves the object before triggering the `user_unstaged` event.
* Update one more spec
* Assign attributes after unstaging
PostMover passes to PostCreator a `created_at` that is a `ActiveSupport::WithTimeZone` instance (and also `is_a? Time`). Previously it was always being passed through `Time.zone.parse` so it would lose sub-second information. Now, it takes `Time` input as-is, while still parsing other types.
Posts without a user probably shouldn't happen unless there was some direct database tampering, but data like that has been seen in the wild.
The importer will assign those posts to the "system" user.
